Diane Novak Wedlock passed away on 3-2-26 at Regional Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of Robert and Shirley Watkins. Diane was educated in the Scranton School District. After graduation, Diane became a licensed cosmetologist and cosmetology teacher at Empire Beauty School and Star Beauty Academy for over 35 years. She also owned and operated Wedlock’s Hair Trends. Diane retired in sunny Florida to live out her days in the sun. She is preceded in death by her son, Brian J. Novak, her mother, Shirley Watkins and husband Joseph Wedlock. Diane is survived by her son Bart Novak and wife Allison Lipisko Novak, Scranton, daughter, Maria Slavinski, Scranton, grandchildren, Cassandra and Bubba Novak, Melissa Tigue, Ashley Slavinski, Steven SlavInski, Lauren Cummings, great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Mychal, Anthony, Arron, Alivia, Wyatt, Weston and Lorenzo, great great grandson, Ethan. Services are private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted to the Thomas J. Hughes Funeral Home Inc.
