David A. Donovan, 61, of Scranton died Wednesday at Allied Services Hospice Center after a determined three-year battle as a mesothelioma warrior. Born in Fulton, N.Y., he was the son of the late John and Frances Betty Donovan. He was a United States Army veteran and retired from Clarks Summit State Hospital. He was an avid Eagles and Penn State fan. He enjoyed spending his free time playing pool ("and kicking butt!"), fishing and coin collecting. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. David is survived by his daughter, Alexandria McGuire and husband, Kenneth, San Francisco; sister, Patricia Garbooshian and partner Dan, Syracuse; siblings, Jennifer Donovan of Utah, Steven Donovan and Charlotte of Virigina, and Thomas Donovan of Florida; aunts and uncles, nieces.
