Daniel J. Brown, 40, of Barton, N.Y., passed away Saturday, Sept. 21, 2024. Born in Scranton, son of Jody Sobol Brown, Scranton and the late Daniel Tyrone Brown. He was a drug counselor. He is survived by two sons, C.J. and Devonte Brown, two daughters, Alexcious and Darviron Brown, two brothers, James and Eric Brown, two sisters, Alyssa Stokes and Carol Cruz, a grandfather, James Sobol, one granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Carol Sobol, Scranton. Family and friends may call Friday, Sept. 27, 2024 from 10 to 11:45 a.m. in the Thomas J. Hughes Funeral Home Inc., 1240 St. Ann’s St., Scranton, PA 18504. A service will be held at noon in SS. Peter’s and Paul’s Cemetery Chapel, Taylor, Pa.
