Danny Sallom was truly one of those rare souls who made the world brighter simply by being in it. An incredible artist and performer, he carried a light that touched everyone lucky enough to know him. Danny wasn’t just talented—he was kind, generous, and full of a warmth that made people feel welcome, seen, and loved.
As part of my drag family, he meant so much to me personally. He inspired so many of us with his creativity, his courage to express himself, and the joy he brought to every stage and every room he entered. Danny had a way of lifting people up and reminding us all why art, community, and chosen family matter so much.
He was truly an icon in our community, loved deeply by so many. The impact he had on the people around him will never fade. While his passing leaves a space that can never truly be filled, his memory, his art, and the love he shared will live on through all of us who were lucky enough to know him.
Rest in power, Danny. You will always be remembered, always celebrated, and always missed.

Danny was such a beautiful soul, kind, warm, and full of love. He had a way of bringing light wherever he went. He was like a little brother to me, and I will forever be grateful for the time and memories we shared. My heart is heavy knowing he’s gone, but his spirit will always live on in the lives he touched. He will be missed more than words can ever say.

My deepest condolences to all family and friends of Danny he is SO LOVED and it pains me to have to be writing this at this time. He was truly and always be a star in so many people’s eyes. A TRUE PREFORMER and a heck of a great friend and creative artist. He has helped so many including myself overcome fears and stage fright with his amazing personality and courage along with his compassion for doing the things he loved to do! Thank you Danny if it wasn’t for you so many of us would be lost within ourselves. Thank you for helping so many find the brightness in a place that was so darkened. You are truly going to be missed and may your love continue to spread even in the afterlife. 🫶🏽

His presence made Carney Academy a better place. It was easy to see his ability to work with children. I am fortunate to have been his colleague.

Hi, my names Evan, when I was 10 I had started going to the YMCA in downtown town New Bedford, Danny was one of the first staff members there to greet me and made sure that I had felt comfortable, he inspired me and many other kids when ever he had a hand in activities and his hands in drama, when I later worked at the same YMCA me and him got closer and I considered him a close friend from the point forward, I wish I had gotten to seen him more after I left and I hope the family knows that his impact on others means a lot and that he made good memories for everyone that knew him. May he rest in peace.

My Dear Beautiful Friend,
My heart is devastated to learn that you have fallen asleep in eternal rest. It was said “how lucky I am to have had something that makes saying goodbye so hard”-Winnie the Pooh.
I am so sorry to all who loved you. I wish I could have shared one more laugh, one more dance, one more costume share but I will cherish the times we did have forever. Thank you for always being a. Listening ear for being my “first” men’s cut and men’s highlight. Thank you for always making sure I was good. Thank you for being you. You will be missed dearly. Until we see each-other again. 💜
