Claudellen (Tracy) Reed, born on Feb. 13, 1954, passed away peacefully on Sept. 10, 2024, in Scranton, Pa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Reed. Born in Picken, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Linberg and Annie Holden Duggins. She was employed as a nurse and a beloved matriarch in her community, Tracy touched countless lives with her warmth, humor and unwavering support. Tracy was the proud mother of five children: son, Harold Duggins and his wife, Francoise; daughter, Kisha Duggins; son, Toby Duggins; son, Joshua Duggins and his wife, Lygeia; and daughter, Deann Lynch. She was a devoted grandmother to her grandsons, Derrick, Tylique, Jahri, Naseem, Jamique, Joshua and Cedrique; and granddaughters, Kishana, Zoe and Journi. The most kind great-grandmother to Xai Mina, Alani and Annasiah. Her family was the center of her world, and she loved nothing more than spending time with them. often expressing her affection with her favorite saying. “Love you the most!” Tracy was also a true confidante and fierce protector, known for her ability to make others laugh and feel valued. Her legacy extends beyond her immediate family; she was a mother figure to many in the Vandeveer community, providing guidance and support to those in need. She is survived by her sisters, Linda, Margret, Edna and Carol; and her brothers, David and Leroy, and Michael, who will all remember her as a loving sister and a source of strength in their lives; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Tracy’s life was a testament to love, resilience, and the importance of family and friends. She leaves behind a rich legacy in the hearts of those she touched, reminding everyone that they could always count on her unwavering support. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, Sept. 22, 2024 in the McGoff-Hughes Funeral Home, 1401 Capouse Ave., Scranton, Pa. Family and friends may pay their respects from 3 to 5 p.m. with a service at 5 by Pastor Keyserray Leepier.
