Catherine McPhillips, 54, of Scranton, died Friday at home. Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Gerard and Marie Sullivan McPhillips, she was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and She spent most of her career as a housekeeper in the medical Profession She was proceeded in death by her nephew Daniel Mcphilips Catherine was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, Aunt, sister and friend to all her family and Friends. She would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. She was also the one to crack jokes and bring joy when there was darkness. Surviving are her son Jamie G Fernandes and partner Morgan Thomas, Granddaughter Mila A Fernandes of Scranton. Her sisters Joan Fitch of Taylor & Sharon Gursky of Scranton. Brothers Bobby McPhillips of Taylor & Gerard and wife Cheryl Mcphillips of Scranton and Several nieces and nephews, great nieces and a great great niece A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 6pm in the McGoff-Hughes FH Inc, 1401 Capouse Ave, Scranton. Friends may call from 4-5:45pm.
