Beverly A. Meisinger

Beverly A. Meisinger, 80, of West Scranton, passed away peacefully on December 12th in Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore after a brief illness. Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Walter "Jiggs" and Sophie Stadinski Sarafinko, she was a graduate of West Scranton High School and a member of St. Ann's Basilica. Before retirement, she was a dedicated employee for 25 years at RCA until the factory's closing. To sum up Beverly's life in an obituary would fill a newspaper because that is how much she was loved by her three children, grandsons, sister, family, friends and neighbors. There wasn't a day when she wasn't there for us, not a day. Now you get to rest, Mom. Gramma and Grandpa were waiting for you to get there and all the family were dancing the polka to welcome you in heaven. To quote the lyrics from that Linda Ronstadt song you loved, And I think I'm going to love you for a long, long time. We are brokenhearted, but you and all the memories will live on in us forever. We are your legacy. How lucky were we? Also surviving are three children, Shelly Morris and husband Tim; Lisa Graff and husband Chris, all of Moosic, Walter Meisinger, IlI and wife Barbara, West Chester; grandsons, Christopher, Benjamin, Nicklaus, Jonathan and Jared, sister and best friend, Diane Koczwara, sister-in-law Marie Sarafinko, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter and Robert Sarafinko, Eddie "Bear" Koczwara and Delores Sarafinko, in-laws. The family would like to thank Elan Nursing Home and Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their compassion and care for our beloved Mother in her final weeks. As per Beverly's wishes, there will be no viewing or service. Her devotion to St. Ann's Basilica will be honored in her memory and there will be a private Mass celebrating her life. Arrangements entry to the Thomas J. Hughes Funeral Home, Scranton.
