She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Giannetti, who died 2001, and her Aunt Audrey Kipp. Barbara was a loving, dedicated and loyal wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved sharing her expert skill at crochet and knitting to create beautiful, cherished christening outfits, Afghans, clothing, and of all kinds of toys and dolls for her children, grandchildren and so many friends and family. She will be remembered as a great friend and confidant for so many people she touched over her life. Barbara was the kind of person you leaned on for help, she adopted many of her family and kids’ children as her own and took care of them like her own when they needed her! Barbara was a free spirit and placed value in making people feel good. Some of her greatest joys of life were casino’s slot machines and bingo. She loved bingo so much she and her son, Billy, built a mini empire of bingo halls along with bus trips, and even started the Bingo Scene Magazine. She was ahead of her time by getting her Master certificate in Reiki healing and opening one of Taylor, PA’s first stores dedicated to it. The Healing Garden, Inc. provided services for balancing mind, body and spirit. She had fun reading tarot cards only providing positive, encouraging and bright news about people’s futures. She followed her heart and challenged herself by constantly reinventing herself. Later in her life when most were thinking of retirement, Barb became a certified personal care attendant and worked for Allied In-home services providing care and companionship to disabled and elderly people in their homes. She also studied and became an ordained minister and officiated many weddings all over Northeast PA. She is a member of St. Ann's Basilica Parish. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10am in St. Ann' Basilica. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery. Barb, You were such a lovely person and you did "adopt" me when I was your paper girl and taught me to crochet. Thank you! Rest in Peace and my sincerest condolences to your family.
