Anna Young, 92, of Scranton, died Nov 15 at St. Mary's Villa. She was the widow of Fred Brombacher Jr. Born in War, WV, daughter of the late Brack and Myrtle Null Johnson, she was a graduate of Big Creek High School and the University of Scranton. Anna was devoted to her profession in prison ministries and helped numerous families over the years. She enjoyed attending services at Green Ridge Baptist and Trinity Baptist Church and participating in their activities. Surviving are her daughter, Karla Ahlborn, MT; two sons, J.B. Brombacher and wife, Karen, Avoca; Bob Brombacher, Scranton; grandchildren, Bria, Jaden, Aynsley, Brandt and Amy; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Mark Ahlborn; and daughter-in-law, Barbara Brombacher. A funeral service will be held Sunday at 7:30pm in the McGoff-Hughes FH Inc, 1401 Capouse AVe, Scranton. Friends may call starting at 6pm.
