Andrew "Doughboy" Seifert

Andrew “Doughboy” Seifert, 43, of Scranton, passed away at Geisinger Community Medical Center on November 17, 2025. He was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania on April 20, 1982, to his late mother, Valerie Ann Jankowski. Andrew grew up in West Scranton and spent his life working as a truck driver, but his true passion was cooking and spending time with his family.
Andrew shared eight beautiful children with Robyn: Mia Sandy, Izaiah Sandy and his wife Taryn, Jeremiyah Sandy, Zakariyyah Sandy, Aaliyah Seifert, Malkijah Kizer, Mckendra Seifert, and Andrew Seifert Jr. He was also the proud grandfather of his granddaughter, Alora Sandy, and his grandcat Gizmo.
He is survived by his siblings Vance Seifert, Lance Seifert, Randy Seifert, Philip Seifert, Eugene Jankowski, Chris Jankowski, Andrea Miller and Valerie Jankowski. He was preceded in death by his mother, Valerie Ann Jankowski, and his brother, Edward Seifert Jr.
Andrew was one of the funniest, most loving, and most unforgettable people you could ever meet. He was always cracking jokes, embarrassing everyone in the best way, and making the whole room laugh. He never cared what anyone thought of him, and that was one of the best things about him. He gave everything he had to his children and was the rock of his family. His presence filled every room with humor, love, and a sense of comfort that everyone around him felt. Andrew was also a very giving man, always willing to help others without hesitation.
His memory will continue to live on through his children and all those who loved him, and he will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. A celebration of life will be held Monday, December 1st from 4:00pm to 6:00pm in the Thomas J. Hughes Funeral Home, 1240 St. Ann’s Steet, Scranton, PA 18504. Inurnment Cathedral Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

My heart and love goes out to Robyn, the children and the rest of the Andrew family. All I can say is this was friend that I truly loved. I never met a man as generous, loving and helpful. We all call him Doughboy and his happy spirit definitely matches the name! Dough you will be greatly missed and I’m so sorry I was not able to get to Scranton but I am definitely there in Spirit. I love you’ll so much. My heart is broken because I haven’t seen him since 2012 but I am glad that I had a chance to tell him how much I appreciated him but I wish I could have told him more over and over again. Rest well my friend until we meet again. Miss Michelle🥲🥲🥲
