Jule Festa, 91, of Scranton, died Thursday at Linwood Nursing facility. She was the widow of Joseph Festa, who passed away on April 11, 2018. Born in Pittston, the eldest of four daughters of the late Thomas and Regina Joyce, she was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and worked for many years as a secretary in the Scranton School Distrct. Jule enjoyed time spent with her family. She embraced the fullness of life. Whether it was vacations with the grandkids, exploring wineries, or rooting for Philadelphia sports teams, Jule loved it all. Surviving are her two sons, Joseph and Patrick Festa, Scranton, four grandchildren, Elizabeth and her partner Mike, Sarah and her partner Patrick, Bridget and husband Paul, and Patrick, nieces and nephews. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10am in St. Ann’s Basilica. Friends may call Tuesday from 4-6pm at the Thomas J Hughes FH Inc, 1240 St Ann St., Scranton, Pa.
