Irene V. DiBiasi

Irene Santoro DiBiasi, 91, of Clarks Summit, died Sunday at Riverside Rehabilitation Center. She was the widow of Rocco Di BiasiBorn in Dickson City, daughter of the late James and Ida Howey Owens, she was a graduate of Dickson City High School and a member of St. Anns Basilica. Irene was the distinguished business owner and operator of the Brunswick Restaurant and Sharkeys Upstairs Restaurant in Dunmore. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother who will be deeply missed.Surviving are five grandchildren, Christopher Santoro and wife Theresa, Pittston; Benjamin Santoro and wife Terri Brutko-Santoro, Old Forge; Kimberly Mecca and husband Christopher, Scranton; Danielle Ruark and husband Casey, N. Port Fl; and Todd Cummings, Scranton; seven great grandchildren, Christopher and wife Whitney, Cory and fiance Rachel Borgna, Oleivia, Benjamin and wife Nicole, and Vinson Santoro, Vito Mecca, and Zack Morrow; four great great grandchildren, Angelo, Sophia, and Ava Santoro, and Isabella Morrow; a daughter in law, Betty Ann Romey; nieces, nephews, and cousinsShe was preceded in death by two sons, Benjamin and James Santoro; two brothers, James and Stephen Owens; two sisters, Helen Bartholomew and Esther Joseph The funeral will be Thursday at 9:30am from the Thomas J Hughes Funeral Home, Inc 1240 St Ann St, Scranton Pa 18504 with Mass of Christian burial at 10am in St Anns Basilica. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday 5-8pm
