Mary V. Tracy, 69, of Scranton died Tuesday at Regional Hospital of Scranton.Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., daughter of the late Richard J.H. and Mary Hall Tracy, she was a graduate of St. Ann’s Monastery High School and a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Mary worked as a bus driver, and previously was employed by Mercy Hospital, where she served as an LPN in the nursery. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, whom were her life and happiness, and will be deeply missed by all of them. Surviving are two sons, Lenny Licata and wife, Sharon; and Thomas D’Andrea; a daughter, Tracy Whitman and husband, Joseph, all of Scranton; 12 grandchildren, a brother, Mike Tracy and wife, Alice, Carbondale; a sister, Rita Tracy, Arizona; a sister-in-law, Mary Tracy, Nevada; nieces, nephews and cousins.She was also preceded in death by a brother, Edward Tracy.The funeral service will be held Saturday at 7 p.m. in the Thomas J. Hughes Funeral Home, 1240 St. Ann St., Scranton. Friends may call Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the United Neighborhood Centers of NEPA, where Mary worked for years helping children in need, at www.uncnepa.org/donate.
