Steven Myers

Steven Myers, 44, of Scranton, died Tuesday at Riverside Rehabilitation Center. His wife is Iantha Mulqueen Myers. The couple would have celebrated one year of marriage in February.Born in Scranton, son of Howard and Virginia Minutes Myers, he attended West Scranton High School and was employed by Kane Warehouse. He was a member of the Ukavets and the FOE and enjoyed hanging out at Haggerty’s with his wife. Steven was an avid Penn State, Redskins, Phillies and Flyers fan. He volunteered many hours as a coach for the West Side Jets C & A teams of the All County Conference Junior Football League, leading them to an A-division American Conference Championship and Superbowl appearance in 2010 and a runner-up in the division in 2011. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.Also surviving are a daughter, Amethyst; a son, Alden; two grandchildren, Aubrey and Skyla Smith; two brothers, John Greenburg and wife, Patricia; and Christopher Myers, all of Scranton; a sister, Tracey Kaspala and husband, Tom, Maine; father-in-law, George Mulqueen; mother-in-law, Rhonda Mills; nieces, nephews and cousins.He was preceded in death by a brother, Leroy Greenburg.A funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. from the Davies & Jones Funeral Chapel, 135 S. Main Ave., Scranton. Friends may call Friday from 4 to 7 p.m
